Description
The North Caroline Humanities Council calls for submissions of original, unpublished writings in fiction, nonfiction or poetry portraying aspects of the life and persons in North Carolina. It is not required that authors are from North Carolina, but it is expected that their entries make clear relation to North Carolina.
Guidelines
Authors should submit seven copies of an original work of poetry or prose up to 2,500 words that haven't been published before. Works should be typed and double-spaced and the author's name should not be written anywhere on the submission.

Prize
The winner of the Linda Flowers Literary Awards receives a cash prize of $500, publication in North Carolina Conversations, and a week-long residency at Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
